1. Read the instructions on paint cans. 2. Read the instructions on primer cans. 3. Read the instructions on mixing bags. 4. Knowing how to use the appropriate tool or tools for the job. 5. Practice (do a dry run first). 6. When painting, inspect the job the next day. This allows the paint to completely dry. Look at the job in the shade and sunlight. Re-paint any area that needs it. Get your spouses approval before putting away the paint can. 7. Wear safety glasses and gloves for all jobs. 8. Read the remodeling book or view the DVD again to be sure that you understand the job from start to finish. 9. You are now ready to start your remodeling job.
